Shailend Ram Krishna
Shailend is the essence of all the visions and goals behind the firm and as Managing Partner has over the years seen the firm expand, develop and grow in unimaginable ways.
Shailend graduated with his Bachelor of Laws degree from Bond University in 1997. He successfully completed his Diploma in Legal Practice from Bond University in 1998 and was subsequently admitted to the New South Wales Bar in 1998. He also was admitted to the High Court of Fiji in 1998 and was awarded Young Lawyer of the year in 2008 by the Fiji Law Society.
Shailend is also a Notary Public and has a Master of Laws from the University of Fiji. He is an ardent academic and has presented on legal issues in numerous conferences. He continues to expand his literary knowledge which has in turn seen Krishna & Co Lawyers become one of the few law firms in the country that has an in-house library with a remarkable collection of legal texts, books, journals, law reports and authorities.
He has held various notable positions over the years which includes and is not limited to the Council Member of the Fiji Law Society, Chairman of the Legal Aid Appeals Review Committee, Sugar Industry Tribunal (2015-2018) appointed pursuant to the Sugar Industry Act 1984, Laws of Fiji, Chairman of Fiji Football Association Ethics Committee, Fiji Football Association Appeals Committee and Arbitration Tribunal.
Shailend is known to have undertaken a few of the most high profile and complex cases in Fiji and holds a notable reputation in areas of civil litigation, administrative law and judicial reviews. He has also represented parties in Alternative Dispute Resolution matters both locally and internationally and has recently at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Singapore represented a large corporate company to resolve issues via Arbitration.
Apart from overall management of the Firm, Shailend pioneered and supervises the Cadetship and “Adopt a Friend” programs within the firm and has contributed significantly to the success of the same. He finds (more than often) numerous innovative mechanisms that champion “giving back to the community” causes.
Shailend works meticulously towards ensuring that the firm produces exceptional and satisfying results and is the driving factor towards excellence in every service that the firm provides.

Nilesh Virendra Kumar
Nilesh joined the Krishna & Co. firm in 2015 and since then has been a valuable member of our dynamic team.
His practice focuses on complex Civil & Criminal Litigation and Family Law. Nilesh has helped clients in a variety of industries to resolve commercial, tort, regulatory challenges through Civil & Administrative Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution at trial and Appellate Levels.
He has handled a number of notable ‘pro-bono’ cases and is proud to have appeared at every level of Fiji’s Court System including Supreme Court.
He believes in treating every person he represents with respect and understanding for what they are experiencing. His goal is for each client to walk away from their case and be able to move forward in their lives, feeling positive about the outcome they received. He loves to help people navigate the complexities of Legal System while holding himself to high standards of Legal Practice & Ethics.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Shirani Sonika
Shirani joined our dynamic team in January, 2018 and has since then contributed greatly towards the development and integrity of the firm. Her personality and strong views greatly resonate with the visions and goals of the firm.
Shirani graduated with her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Fiji in 2017 and was admitted to the Fiji Bar in November, 2017. She was a peer mentor at the University and is currently on the Disciplinary Committee for the Lautoka Football Association. She is also a member of the Fiji Law Society.
She deals with both local and international clients in all aspects of civil, commercial, contract and family law and is passionate about the “thinking outside the box” approach when it comes to application and interpretation of laws to ensure that she is able to give the best possible outcome to her clients yet remaining within the high professional standards and ethics of this noble profession.
As an individual- she enjoys reading, constantly keeping up with the latest technological advancements, travelling and is passionate about giving back to the community and actively is involved in basic legal awareness within communities.
ASSOCIATE
Aashnal V. Gounder
Aashnal Gounder has joined our dynamic team in October, 2020 and since then she has contributed copiously towards the evolution and rectitude of the firm. Her personality, dedication and perseverance reflect the vision and mission of this firm.
Aashnal graduated with her Bachelor of Law Degree and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Fiji in 2020. She was admitted to the Bar in September of the same year.
As an individual, she indulges her self with reading while being updated regularly on the evolving Laws & Legislations and views of other nations in legal practice. She also enjoys meeting new people & networking which helps immensely in her career path. She aims to assist her clients to the best of her abilities and she aspires to attain more knowledge from our vibrant team.
PRACTICE MANAGER
Jasmeen Goundar
Jasmeen Goundar is our Practice Manager. She managers the general Administration of the firm. She also oversees the Human Resource Department and is the mental Wellbeing Supervisor wherein her duties require her to conduct routine checks and schedule wellness activities for the firm.
She carries out the visions of the firm set out by the Partners and is driven by strong work ethics, principles and professionalism.
She is spearheading our Carbon Footprint Project where our firm will go paperless on 1st January, 2025.

Shivneel Prasad
Shivneel is our technical officer who supports, monitors and maintains the computer systems and network administration in our firm. He graduated with with Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science & Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the University of the South Pacific.
He holds a keen interest in network administrative and technical works and is constantly broadening his knowledge in this ever evolving network and computer field.
Apart from whizzing up technical magic, he likes to play video games, surfing net and meeting new people.
